2010 chardAn elegant wine with citrus, coconut and pineapple on the nose. Fruit & chalkiness with well-balanced acidity on the palate, to mature well.

Handcrafted with enthusiasm and passion, Mimosa wines feature a complexity that meets balance to create elegance in a bottle.

We believed the Robertson terroir with limestone soils are perfect for maturation of top quality Chardonnay. Our Chardonnay comes from the Southern Part of the Robertson Wine Valley, the chardonnay region of South Africa.

After the grapes are hand-picked, chilled, crushed and destemmed, the juice is naturally barrel fermented on the lees and matured for 12 months in French oak casks.

The nose shows beautiful citrus, coconut and pineapple. On the palate you will be surprised with fruit, chalkiness and complexity that carries through a well balanced acidity.Our elegant Chardonnay is made to mature well.

10 Months maturation in Foudre Cast, followed by 3 months in neutral barrique barrels. Scent of leather, spice and ripe cherries on the nose, with a big structured palate, an abundance of fruit, lingering round tannin.
