We recently escaped the city and set off to the Robertson Wine Valley for the Slow Food and Wine Festival. “The Slow”, is unlike any other wine festival, as it provides an opportunity to explore the Winelands more intimately. As the name suggests, the pace is slow.
The Robertson Wine Valley (RWV) is approximately 2½ hour drive from Cape Town. It includes Robertson, Montagu, Bonnievale, McGregor and Ashton wine regions. Robertson Wine Valley is the perfect escape if you would like to leave the hustle and bustle of the city behind you. The pace is slow, the people friendly, and the wine plentiful – in essence, the perfect recipe for a weekend away.
